What is a Web App?
A web application, at its core, is a website that performs a task like desktop software would, except that it is run in the user's browser and data is stored either in the browser or in a remote database. This adds flexibility, as a web app can be used on any device with an internet browser and internet connection. Today, web applications are extremely powerful and can do almost anything a desktop or mobile app can.
