What is a Mobile App?
A mobile application is a software or program that is designed to operate on a smartphone, tablet, and even wearables like smart watches. Currently, over half of all web traffic occurs on a smartphone and this is only going to increase as time moves on. Many people choose to access the web and utilize web applications via their phone or tablet rather than a desktop computer. Social media, online banking, and e-commerce applications all had their origins on a desktop interface but are now very popular and in many cases preferred on a mobile interface.
